I love the "Low Volume Music" album by Steve Roach and Dirk Serries (youtu.be/gx5b1-0w00I). In my opinion, it is one of the most beautiful ambient albums ever, and its various tracks appear on several of my sleep playlists.

I awoke one Wednesday in January 2022 with the melody from "Closed" in my head, and I had just purchased a little Tascam DP-008 multitrack recorder to place on my bedside for just such occasions. And thus this was the first song I tracked to my new recorder.

I then exported the 8 tracks as WAV files, and brought them into Logic for final production.

And, since I've been playing around in After Effects for over a year now, I've added some dreamy video... youtu.be/7IoudE-SXh0?si=E-SOSS5GqVdWemMI

To me, this version doesn't sound very much like the Roach/Serries original... but it is at the very least inspired by their take. I hope you enjoy it.
